JAKARTA – The Center for Village Innovation (CVI) featured as a speaker at the multi-stakeholder reflection panel marking the conclusion of the People Positive Palm Project (P3 Project). This high-level discussion brought CVI together with policymakers and implementers, including the Director General for Placement KP2MI, representatives from BP2MI Mataram and Kupang, and Indonesian Migrant Worker Placement Companies (P3MI).
While the P3 Project, initiated by CGF-HRC and supported by IOM Indonesia, focuses on mitigating forced labor in the palm oil sector, CVI used the platform to advocate for a recruitment model where humanitarian standards and business sustainability coexist.
We believe that humanitarian approaches and business interests are not contradictory, but rather complementary. Only a system that offers mutual value can be truly sustainable. CVI’s role is to enrich the landscape of advocacy within the business ecosystem, ensuring the creation of continuous programs that effectively complement existing donor-based initiatives. (Ahmad Mubarak Munir – CVI Executive Director)
By joining BP2MI and industry players (P3MI) on this panel, CVI reinforces its strategic position in driving a more transparent and ethical recruitment system across migration corridors.
