Center for Village Innovation (CVI) was honored to participate in Muda Mengabdi Vol. 5, a community empowerment program organized by the Department of International Relations at the University of Mataram. Held in Kebon Ayu Village, West Lombok, on September 24, 2026, the event featured a comprehensive workshop focused on strengthening public understanding of Indonesian migrant workers’ rights and placement protection mechanisms.

Representing CVI, Muh Reyhan Firdiansyah, Program Manager for the Ethical Recruitment Verification and Monitoring Program in the Recruitment Chain, served as the main speaker. His session provided the local community with crucial insights into navigating official, procedural channels for safe overseas employment. He emphasized the fundamental rights of prospective migrant workers throughout the recruitment and placement process, while explaining essential protection mechanisms to help community members recognize fair recruitment standards, avoid illegal recruiters, and safeguard their rights before and during placement abroad.

This event shows CVI’s commitment to supporting village communities into navigating official, procedural channels for safe overseas employment. Moving forward, CVI will keep working with different partners so that every rural community in Indonesia has easy access to this vital information.
